YOUR BEST CHOICE FOR LUXURY
MOTOR COACH TRANSPORTATION IN THE TROPICS
Kennedy Space Center
Kennedy
Space Center is located only 50 miles east of Orlando, on Merritt Island by
Titusville. The Visitor Center at NASA offers relevant space history for your
group to explore. You will see real spacecraft from past to present, tour
restricted areas aboard KSC buses, experience thrilling IMAX Movies, and enjoy
exciting space exploration exhibits and interactive shows.
During the
2 – 3 hour bus tour, you will stop at the Observation Gantry to view the launch
pads at Complex 39, witness an Apollo launch from a replica of the original
firing room at the Saturn V building, and stop at the data processing center for
the International Space Station.
Don’t miss
the fantastic, larger than life IMAX movies, currently showing “Magnificent
Desolation” and the “Hubble 3-D”. Also available at the Visitor Center is the
Astronaut Memorial, the Rocket Garden, the Robot Scouts, and the live show;
Exploration Space: Explorers Wanted, which is especially great for our young
visitors.
The SHUTTLE
LAUNCH EXPERIENCE is a “simulator-ride”, which appears more dangerous than it
really is. This attraction is a monument to the Space Shuttle program and will
bring the dream of lift off to reality while educating our visitors on shuttle
launches!
Groups can
enjoy prearranged lunches or eat in one of several overpriced restaurants.
Gatortrax can arrange a gourmet cold lunch to be enjoyed on picnic tables near
the parking lot. Be sure to save time to shop at one of the many well stocked
gift shops.
The US
Astronaut Hall of Fame, located 3 miles from the visitor center is included in
your admission to Kennedy Space Center. It features the world’s largest
collection of astronaut memorabilia, plus historic spacecraft, simulators and
tributes to NASA space heroes . SCIENCE ON A SPHERE is a global display that
takes visitors on a three-dimensional journey around the world and throughout
the solar system via dynamic animated images of the atmosphere, oceans and
planets. |
